MILTON PLANT CELEBRATES SAFETY MILESTONE

NEX Performance Films’ Milton, WI plant recently celebrated an important milestone: 2.5 years without a recordable accident. Plant Manager Bryon Task attributed the record to the hard work and constant focus on safety by all of the employees at the site. “We have an experienced team that really cares about each other, so safety is always our highest priority. We like to say around here that “safety never takes a holiday.” In fact, when we celebrated our 2-year anniversary on November 1, 2010, we got all of the employees a jacket with that saying on it, to continue to reinforce that message.”

In celebration of the 2.5 year milestone, the Executive Team, led by CEO Kathy Bolhous, prepared and served a steak dinner for all four shifts at the plant in July. Said Bolhous, “We are very proud of what the Milton Team has accomplished, and we were happy to help them celebrate that milestone. The safety of our employees is extremely important to us, and Milton has raised the bar for all of our facilities. It’s even more remarkable when considering all of the activity going on at the site, to support our expansion and the addition of our new 3-layer W&H line.” The new line is slated to start up in August.
