Dave manages our resin suppliers and negotiates resin prices. He also manages the outbound logistics and negotiates with our logistics partners. He oversees the warehouse and shipping and receiving activities at each plant, along with pallet, core, and equipment purchasing.
What do you like about your job?
“The Diversity. Managing several different functional areas changes the landscape daily and requires utilization of multiple skill sets to succeed.”
How do you describe NEX to your family/friends?
“I tell them we make packaging film. When they say “what’s that” I explain we make the plastic that is used to package many of the foods they buy.”
How did you get into Packaging?
“I am a CPA by trade and after starting my career in Public Accounting, I knew I wanted to work for a privately held company that would provide opportunities for growth and challenge. The company I found that met that criteria was in Packaging and I have been in the industry in various roles ever since. I worked for the first Packaging Company for 19+ years before coming to NEX Performance Films in 2009. ”
