Steve manages the Technical Group. They are responsible for working with our customers (internal & external) in developing new products, improving existing products/ processes and helping to grow our business while trying to make sure we utilize our resources as efficiently as possible.
What do you like about your job?
“My team is incredibly bright and hard working. I feel fortunate to be able to work with them. I love watching them problem solve and develop creative solutions that we can bring to our customers. Every day is a new adventure either creating new products, solving problems, or learning about new technologies and markets."
How did you get into packaging?
“I happened to get a Sales Trainee position with a packaging company as my first job out of school. Once I realized that we got to build things, create value, and make tangible products, I was hooked. I still get a kick out of seeing packaging projects that we’ve been a part of on the store shelves and it takes me a couple of hours to go to the grocery store to “pick up a few things” because I want to check out all the packaging. I have to shop alone; my family won’t go with me anymore.”
Hobbies:
“I have limited time, but my “outside of work” passion is golf. It’s a great opportunity to meet new people and is an incredibly effective tool for learning about yourself and those with whom you play. It’s tough to hide your “true self” on the golf course.”
